The Ordered Life Companions

The Ordered Life

Most planners ask what you want to achieve. We ask who you are becoming.

A companion to help you live with greater intention and attend to what matters most, in every season of life.

More than a planner

Because life is about more than what we accomplish

We are taught how to manage our time, but rarely how to understand the life we're managing.

A good planner can help us set goals, organise our days and achieve remarkable things. But what about the rest of life? Our relationships, our values, our responsibilities, our spiritual lives, and the different seasons we find ourselves in?

These things shape who we are becoming, yet they rarely find their way onto our planning pages.

The Ordered Life Companions were created to bring these parts of life together: to help us pause, consider what matters in this particular season, and make wise choices about how we spend our days.

Not a perfectly organised life. A thoughtfully ordered one.

Two companions, one way of living

A whole-of-life approach to planning

One companion to help you find your direction. The other to help you live it, day by day.

Designed for women who want to plan with purpose, reflect with honesty, and make room for the whole of life. Rooted in Christian wisdom, and welcoming to women at every stage of their journey.

Before filling your calendar, take time to consider the life you're living.

Through guided reflection, a personal Rule of Life, goals across eight areas of life, and quarterly reviews, it helps you set a clear direction for the year ahead. It is less a list of things to achieve than a way of attending to the life you're shaping.

Yearly · Look Up

For each area of life: what do I value here, and what simple, realistic rhythm will support it?

From the bigger picture to the everyday

Find your direction. Then live it.

The Yearly Companion helps you step back and consider the life you're living, the season you're in and the direction you want to take. The Monthly Companion brings that direction into the ordinary rhythms of your days.

Together, they create a simple rhythm of reflection, planning and returning to what matters.

Look Back

Reflect on the year behind you. Notice what you've learned, what has changed, and what deserves your gratitude.

Look Up

Consider your values, character, faith, responsibilities and the season of life you're in.

Look Ahead

Choose a direction for the year, and a few key goals that reflect what matters most.

Walk Faithfully

Bring that direction into ordinary days, returning regularly to reflect, adjust and begin again.

Both companions are A5 in size and are designed to work together, though each can be used on its own.

A note from the author

Why I created The Ordered Life Companions

About ten years ago, I discovered the power of a good planner. It helped me set goals and pursue things I might once have thought beyond me.

I still believe in the value of a good productivity planner. I know what a difference one can make.

But over time, I found myself wanting something more. I wanted a planner that helped me understand the life I was living, not simply organise the things I needed to do.

Now, as I write, build a new business and find my place as a grandmother and matriarch in my family, I'm discovering again how much our priorities and responsibilities change with the seasons of life.

I've also been fortunate to learn from some remarkable women, from years of working and travelling across cultures, and from the richness of Christian teaching. Those experiences have shaped my conviction that the formation of our character and spiritual lives deserves as much attention as the work we hope to accomplish.

I'm still learning. I expect I always will be.

I created these companions because I wanted something practical that would also encourage women to pause and think more deeply about their lives. My hope is that they will help women, young and old, live with a clearer sense of direction, find joy in the ordinary, and face life's inevitable storms with wisdom, courage and peace.

Not because life will always go according to plan. But because knowing what matters gives us something to guide us, even when it doesn't.
